Being from Texas, it is fair to say that I absolutely LOVE steak. Ribeye, New York Strip, Filet Mignon, you name it. Plain, seasoned, grilled or broiled, steak is by far my favorite food. To that end, the best steak that I have ever had, in Utah or elsewhere, is at Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
Like most high end restaurants, everything on the menu comes separate. Your steak does not include potatoes, salad, soup, or any other accouterments. That said, it is still worth every penny
As an appetizer, I highly recommend the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. They were perfectly cooked, topped with a little bit of Romano cheese. Delicious! Next I had the Caesar Salad, pretty much the only salad I will eat. The plate and fork were chilled, as they should be. The lettuce was crisp, the dressing fresh, and the croutons were amazing!
As an entree, I ordered the Filet Mignon with Au Gratin Potatoes as the side. I have to say, without question, this was the best steak I have ever had. Prime aged beef, perfectly cooked. They sear the steaks at 1800 degrees, giving them a perfect crust and sealing in the juice and flavor.
