There is nothing quite like a delicious breakfast. Bacon, eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, scones, toast, waffles, and on and on. I absolutely love breakfast. It is my favorite meal of the day, and I am happy to go out of my way to enjoy a delicious breakfast meal. Enter Chicks Cafe in Heber City, Utah.
I was first introduced to Chicks Cafe in Heber in March of 2003, over 6 years ago. I have been going back ever since, and not once have I been disappointed by the wonderfully simple fare. My meal of choice? Six slices of bacon, two eggs over medium, crispy hashbrowns and toast, and a side of two pancakes. Price? $12, and it is more than enough food to leave me absolutely stuffed to the gills.
I know, I know, bacon and eggs and pancakes and hashbrowns…what’s the big deal? Well, I’ve eaten breakfast at many dozens of places over the years, from Denny’s to 5 star fare, and for whatever the reason, I love the breakfast at Chicks the best. Their bacon is delicious and perfectly cooked. The hashbrowns are wonderfully crispy. The eggs are perfectly cooked (the only place I’ve ever been that does over medium properly).
And the pancakes, ohhh, the pancakes. Whether you get the traditional pancakes, or their specialy buckwheat pancakes (Michael McLean, the singer, LOVES the buckwheat pancakes here ), you will absolutely love them. If pancakes aren’t your thing, give the fresh scones a chance, with a gob of butter and fresh honey, every bite is to die for.
Don’t like bacon? Try the fresh ham, which is also rich in flavor, and absolutely delicious. No ham for you? Their steak and country fried steak are also wonderful. I’m telling you, I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t delicious. Don’t believe me? Give Chicks Cafe a chance, and I guarantee you’ll have the best breakfast (or lunch, or dinner) of your life! You can get breakfast all day long (except for the pancakes, which are a morning only thing).
