I’ve really been on a roll lately, finding delicious restaurants left and right! My latest find is Pizzeria 712 in Orem. They are located at 320 South State Street in Orem Utah, and they serve some of the best pizza I have ever tasted. Up until now, the best pizza around here was CPK.
As for the name, it makes an interesting story. They imported their pizza oven from Italy, and when they were assembling it, attempting to read the instructions in Italian, they came across one section in English. It said, for the very best pizza, the oven must be kept at exactly 712 degrees. So there was the name, Pizzeria 712.
I went here last week for a business lunch, and was thoroughly impressed. There were 6 of us there, and there just happened to be 6 different pizzas on the menu, so we ordered all 6, and each had a slice of each pie. My favorite was the pizza with caramelized onions, potatoes, rosemary and fontina cheese, closely followed by the roasted fennel, house sausage and mozzarella. There was one pizza that had speck, soppressata, garlic and mozzarella, that was also fantastic.
The other 3 pizzas at Pizzeria 712 were good, but the 3 above took the cake. I loved every single bite! To top it all off, I am told that their menu changes each month, so you never know what will be available the next time you go, making every meal a surprise 🙂
They call them “personal pan” pizzas, but I was absolutely stuffed after my 6 slices, so I would say 2 pizzas for every 3 people would be ideal. In addition to the delicious pizza, they also have fresh, house made desserts that are wonderfully delicious. Come hungry!
