I love food. I absolutely love good food. Of all the various types of food, from French to Italian, Vietnamese to Chinese, Lebanese to African, and everything in between, my favorite is Indian food. I’ve eaten at dozens of different Indian food restaurants, and at least 5 or 6 here in Utah alone. Of all the Indian food restaurants I have been to, my all time favorite is India Palace in Provo Utah.
Located at 98 West Center Street in Provo, UT, India Palace is a food connoisseur’s dream come true. The best time to visit, hands down, is Monday-Friday between 11:30 and 2, so you can experience their incredible lunch buffet. Priced at about $10 per person, it isn’t an inexpensive lunch, but the food is the best Indian food I have ever had, and there is plenty of it.
I’ve had everything there, from Chicken Tikka Masala to Lamb Coconut Khorma, from Saag Paneer to Lamb Briyani. Everything I have had, and I mean everything, is absolutely delicious. Even the Kheer, a rice pudding dessert, is delicious, a weak point at many an Indian restaurant.
If you can’t make if for lunch, you’ll pay a little more, but the dinner menu is equally enticing. One of the things that makes India Palace unique is that they serve regional dishes from all over India, allowing you to experience Indian cooking as if you were actually visiting the country.
