Taken – Movie Review

My wife and I went to see Taken on Saturday, and were extremely impressed. Liam Neeson was top notch, the story was gripping, and so many details were absolutely true to life.

The gist of the movie is: Liam Neeson is a retired Government Black Ops operative, who is trying to re-establish a relationship with his daughter. Against his better judgement, he agrees to let her spend her summer in Paris. His concerns are validated when she is kidnapped. Neeson uses the skills he developed doing Black Ops to go after the kidnappers and to try to retrieve his daughter.

I’ve known people who were involved in Spec Ops and Black Ops stuff, and from what I’ve heard, this movie is very, very accurate. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time 🙂 Enjoy!

UPDATE: So, it turns out that this movie was originally released over a year ago in France, then Australia, then the rest of the UK. So, a creative person could probably find a copy on DVD already, although it is very much worth seeing on the big screen.
